Typhoon Warnings

Well, a typhoon is scheduled to hit Hong Kong right around the time our flight is scheduled to leave tomorrow, so we'll have to see what happens. Today we took the ferry across the harbor and then the tram up to the highest point to look out over the city. At all the public transport sites there are signs saying "Typhoon warning level 1 has been hoisted" We don't take that as a very good sign. The harbor is absolutely clogged with freighters that we are guessing could be coming in to avoid the storm. We'll keep checking to see if our flight has changed and try to notify you if it has. Mom and Dad, if you read this, we are on United flight 896 from Hong Kong to Chicago, scheduled to leave Fri. at 12:45. Then United flight 5864 from Chicago to Grand Rapids, scheduled to leave at 5:55. Hopefully we'll be on them!
